Answers for using SafePickup at your school — registering, resetting your password, creating pickup overrides, and authorizing another adult to pick up your children.

Use your school’s SafePickup site. Sign in and manage your family at your school’s address (for example yourschool.safepickup.com). The written steps below match the current guardian app. Usage videos may still show the previous interface until we re-record them.

I have never used SafePickup. What should I do?
  1. Open your school’s SafePickup login page.
  2. Choose Guardian self-service? Register here.
  3. Enter your email, a password, your Family ID, and a one-time pickup code from an existing guardian (or from the school office). Do not use a shared school family code unless the school gave you a personal pickup code.
  4. We email a 6-digit verification code. Enter it to complete registration.
  5. Sign in with your email and password. Your Parent Dashboard shows your gate dismissal card and family status.

Each pickup code can register only one guardian. To authorize another person, create an additional code under My Family (see below).

I tried my username and password but they are not recognized. What should I do?
  1. On the login page, choose Forgot password?
  2. Enter the email or username for your SafePickup account.
  3. If we find a match, we email reset instructions.
  4. Open the link and choose a new password, then sign in again.
When I try to register, it says my email is already registered. What should I do?

That email already has a SafePickup account. Use Forgot password? on the login page with that email address. Follow the reset email to set a new password, then sign in. You do not need to register again.

How do I create a pickup override?

Use a pickup override when your child(ren) should go home with another school family or to an afterschool activity.

  1. Sign in and open your Parent Dashboard.
  2. Choose Add Pickup Override.
  3. Select a student, or All children for the whole family.
  4. Choose Go with family (search by last name or family ID) or Afterschool activity (if your school offers activities).
  5. Set the date range. For a carpool-style pattern, turn on recurring days of the week.
  6. Save. Confirm the override appears in your dashboard lists for the right dates.

I need a grandparent, neighbor, or friend to pick up my child(ren). What do I do?

If they are not already a registered guardian for another school family:

  1. Sign in and open My Family.
  2. Under Pickup Codes, choose Add New Code.
  3. Share your Family ID and the new one-time pickup code with that person.
  4. They register on your school’s SafePickup login page with that Family ID and code.

Each authorized person needs their own code. If they already have a pickup code for another family at the school, create a pickup override instead of a new code.
